Kensington Palace
Join us on this fabulous day out which starts with time for lunch and shopping in Knightsbridge, home to the world’s most famous department store, Harrods. In the afternoon we make our way to Kensington Palace, which stands at the western end of Kensington Gardens and is perhaps the finest building in the borough. Originally called Nottingham House, it passed into royal ownership in 1689 when it was acquired by William and Mary. Queen Victoria spent her childhood at Kensington Palace and it was here in June 1837 that she learned of her accession to the throne. The Palace was the London home of Diana, Princess of Wales and is still home to several other members of the royal family. After our visit you can enjoy the Orangery Café adjacent to the Palace, it’s the most amazing place for afternoon tea in the world. (Includes Entrance)

The Kent countryside is in all its glory as we meander through country lanes under a cathedral of trees, letting rays of sunlight through a kaleidoscope of colour. After our excellent two-course lunch, with choice of menu, we continue our springtime tour with a visit to Tenterden. (Includes Lunch)

Marlow & Cookham for Cream Tea
Marlow is a charming historic town situated by the River Thames and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with the Chiltern Hills to the North. It is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the river, shopping with a difference, walking around historical buildings and eating and drinking in the numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs. In the afternoon we continue onto Cookham for a memorable homemade cream tea. (Includes Cream Tea)

Salisbury & Breamore House & Countryside Museum
Salisbury for our lunch venue, with a large market square and modern shopping precinct it offers lots of places for you to obtain lunch before our visit in the afternoon to Breamore House. Breamore House was built in 1583 supervised by William Dodington and sold in 1748 by the eighth Lord Brooke to Sir Edward Hulse, Baronet. It has stayed in the Hulse family ever since and it is now the home of the present Sir Edward Hulse. This is a magnificent Manor House set in the historic village of Breamore is a wonderful house to look round with a fine collection of pictures including a unique set of 14 Mexican Ethnological Paintings, Rare Tapestries, Porcelain, Oak, Walnut and mahogany period furniture. When you have explored the house visit the Countryside Museum where you will see replicas of village shops.

Flanders Field & Ypres
Travel through France and into Belgium to the beautifully restored old Flemish town of Ypres. On our journey we will include stops at Essex Farm, Langemark, Tyne Cot, and Hill 62, all famous landmarks and cemeteries of the First World War. Whilst in Ypres there’s a chance to see the famous Mennin Gate & perhaps a visit to the Flanders Field Museum.
