This time of the year is when you will see the beauty of Scotland in all its glory, you will experience the breathtaking scenery of the Highlands of Scotland, where mountains, glens, majestic waterfalls and lochs contrast with the rolling landscape ‘which is covered at this time of the year by blankets of purple heather’, fertile farmland & beautiful coastal scenery. Our tour will include the breathtaking and glorious scenery of Glen Shee and the Grampian mountains. We travel over Britain’s highest road to reach Braemar, home of the Royal Highland Gatherings, we will drive through the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside to reach the world famous Balmoral Castle and estate bought by Queen Victoria in the 1860s, we travel through attractive woodland scenery to visit Crathie Church where the Royal family worship when staying at Balmoral and you will have time to enjoy the pretty little town of Ballater which is characterised by the various Royal coats of arms above shop doors. Our tour also includes: the coastal/fishing town of Stonehaven, the city of Aberdeen and the Gordon Highlander’s was said to be finest regiment in the world by ‘Winston Churchill’ museum & visitor centre. A very special morning guided tour of Peterhead Harbour by the star of BBC’s TV series the Trawler Men ‘Jimmy Buchann’. We will take you on a beautiful & breathtaking coastal drive to the popular fishing towns of Fraserburgh & McDuff.
