Our hotel is the Windermere Hydro. The Hydro is one of the oldest Lake District Hotels, built as a water cure hotel in the late 19th century. The hotel is situated in a premier position for a wide variety of activities in and around the Lake District. It enjoys views of mountain scenery, secluded bays and wooded islands and is only minutes away from many of the local attractions and shops in Bowness. All Bedrooms are non-smoking, all with private facilities, colour television, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Many of the rooms have spectacular views over Lake Windermere. Our tour includes: the ascent of rugged Kirkstone Pass, with the lonely inn at the top, and then descends to ride along the shore of beautiful Lake Ullswater, regarded by many as the most beautiful of all the lakes. Passing through beautiful valleys with scenery that will take your breath away we visit Keswick, Ambleside & Hawkshead. You will enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Windermere.
