Lincoln and the Dam Busters
Join us as we take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Join us at the popular Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa was once the officer’s mess of the Dam Busters 617 Squadron. Our tour includes an illustrated presentation on the Dam Busters by a local expert, and a visit to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre at RAF Conningsby for a guided tour. Afterwards we visit Lincoln where you will have free time to wander at will to explore this historic city. We also visit the huge antique centre at Hemswell’s former airfield for a morning browsing the centre’s collection from yester-year. We return to Woodhall Spa in time for the down memory lane cinema show, relive cinema as it was in its hey day, with vintage film clips, classic adverts , lantern slides, a sing-a-long with words on the screen, silent film with piano accompaniment and piano & organ duets. The 3 Star Petwood Hotel is set in 30 acres of attractive grounds, en-suite accommodation, excellent restaurant & the Famous Squadron Bar which houses World War II memorabilia.
